Striking Tools

 Pallets and various hammers are widely used as hammers in carpentry shops. The hammer strikes sharply and the steel surface can damage the chisel handle. B. hammer, give better results. Some of the important tools of this type are discussed below.

A hammer is a short wooden hammer with a handle with a large head, as shown in Figure 9.30. It is used for hammering chisels for heavy duty separation of waste wood, from joints such as dents and semi-joints, as well as for removing unwanted wood during molding, etc. Hammers are also often used to touch project parts during the assembly process.

Warrington hammers are used to drive nails, attach joints and attach flat wooden slats. The heads are forged from tool steel and are available in a variety of weights. The striking tools surface is hardened, hardened and ground to a slight prominence. The center of the head is not hardened to prevent it from breaking during use because it is brittle. The handle is made of wood and has an oval cross section for a comfortable grip.
